EMA: Reflection paper on pharmacovigilance communication concerning veterinary medicinal products

This document will provide an overview of different types of communication tools used by national competent authorities (NCAs), the European Medicines Agency (EMA or the ‘Agency’) and marketing authorisation holders (MAHs) with specific focus on direct veterinary medicine communication (DVMC). In addition, principles on how to communicate and coordinate pharmacovigilance information for veterinary medicinal products (authorised via prescription only or available over the counter) in the EU/European Economic Area (EEA)will be described.
